Sojourn Films was founded by cinematographer and filmmaker, Mark McField.

As a proud San Diego native based in LA, Mark has built a diverse portfolio that spans commercials, branded content, short films, and corporate work. His visually stunning and emotionally compelling narratives consistently engage audiences, while simultaneously serving a brand’s missions. Mark's unique background as a multi-ethnic, second-generation immigrant enriches his cinematography to tell stories through a distinct, nuanced lens.

 

With extensive experience as a First Assistant Camera on shoots for major companies like Netflix, HBO Max, BET, Walmart, Cadillac, New Balance, Dolby, and Sephora, Mark has learned working alongside award-winning cinematographers and understands the unique demands of large-scale productions and local, streamlined projects alike. Driven by a genuine passion for his craft, he continually hones his skills as a visual storyteller and approaches each project with a commitment to collaboration and creative innovation.
